Audi, the German luxury car manufacturer, today announced the launch of its design marvel, the new Audi A7 Sportback. Equipped with a powerful and efficient 3.0 TDI V6 engine, the luxury sedan is priced from INR 6,400,000 onwards (ex showroom Delhi). The new Audi A7 Sportback was unveiled by Michael Perschke, Head, Audi India, along with leading Bollywood Actor, Deepika Padukone, who is also a proud Audi owner.

The Audi A7 Sportback is a moving sculpture. Measuring 4.97 meters in length, 1.91 meters in width, and only 1.42 meters in height, the lines of this five - door coupe convey aesthetic athleticism and sophistication.

"A perfect synthesis of prestige, sportiness and modern technology, the Audi A7 combines the strengths of a coupe, a sedan and an avant in a highly attractive concept which truly symbolizes progressiveness. The new Audi A7 Sportback breaks free from the shackles of conventional design and expresses a distinct lightness thereby setting a new definition of contemporary luxury", he added.

Engine:

The new Audi A7 Sportback will debut in India with the 3.0 TDI V6 engine which produces 500 Nm of torque at 1400 - 3250 rpm and 180 kW (245 hp) at 4000 - 4500 rpm. S tronic and quattro drive are standard with this engine. Acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h takes 6.3 seconds and top speed is limited to 250 km/h. Fuel consumption is just 6.0 liters of fuel per 100 km on average.

Pioneering Design:

The new A7 Sportback is an Audi in new top form. Its low, dynamically drawn roofline lends it the character of a coupe. The design presents the aesthetics of modern technology in every detail – in the sharp and precise stroke of the lines. Optional LED headlights accentuate the distinctive expression. These use light-emitting diodes to provide all functions and simultaneously consume little energy.

Interiors: A perfect culmination of luxury and style:

In true Audi tradition, the interiors of the Audi A7 Sportback have been carefully crafted, with utmost levels of perfection. The car features top-class new materials such as layered wood veneers, and an optional ambient lighting system. The front seats are available with optional ventilation and massage functions.

The head up display is a new, high-end feature that Audi makes available as an option in the A7 Sportback. It projects the most important data for the driver to see onto the windshield as symbols and digits. The information appears in a 26 x 9 centimeter window roughly 2.5 meters in front of the windshield.

The Audi A7 Sportback was selected as the winner of the "Auto Bild" Design Summit 2011. The five-door coupé was voted No.1 by a wide margin for its outstanding design.

Globally, Audi recorded significant growth rate worldwide in the luxury class. With 422,000 cars delivered in the first four months (2010: 360,706), Audi sold 17 percent more cars worldwide than in the same period last year.

Audi India recorded an impressive 105 percent growth from Jan – April 2011 with a sale of 1986 cars (967 cars: Jan – April 2010). In April 2011, the company sold 375 cars – a growth of 98 percent over the same period last year (189 cars: April 2010).

Audi, the German luxury car manufacturer, today announced the launch of the Audi Rs 5 Coupe, priced at INR 7,600,000 (ex-showroom Delhi). The high revving 4.2 FSI V8 with its 331 kW (450 hp) unleashes powerful performance yet uses fuel efficiently.

The Power Packed Performer:
The V8 in the Rs 5 Coupe conveys the skin-tingling feeling of power and emotion.
Displacing 4,163 cc, the 4.2 FSI delivers impressive torque and just like a race engine is right at home even at high revs. It puts out 331 kW (450 hp) at 8,250 rpm, and the peak torque of 430 Nm is available between 4,000 and 6,000 rpm. The sonorous V8 catapults the two-door model from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.6 seconds on its way to an electronically governed top speed of 280 km/h.

The engine is partnered by an enhanced seven-speed S tronic shift. This innovative dual-clutch transmission enables gear shifts to be executed in a few hundredths of a second with virtually no interruption in power flow.

A perfect combination of sporty design and luxurious style:
The Rs 5 Coupe has an athletic road stance, and its classically elegant two-door lines dazzle with new and clear-cut accents. Its single-frame grille bears a glossy anthracite-gray rhombus-pattern grid. Xenon plus headlights with LED daytime running lights come standard. The striking bumpers, with large air intakes, at the front and a sporty diffuser insert at the rear also help to create the trademark Audi Rs. look, as do the flared wheel arches and side sill extensions that have been included to differentiate the body.

Dynamic elegance: the interior:
The vehicle’s exclusive and dynamically elegant styling extends to the interior. The sport seats are power-adjustable and include a four-way lumbar support and an extendable thigh rest. Aluminum inlays adorn the door sill trims. The three-spoke multifunction steering wheel in the Rs 5 Coupe has a thick rim and is covered with perforated leather with contrasting gray stitching. The selector lever for the seven-speed S tronic has a knob of perforated leather and a cuff with gray seams.

Audi to Launch Audi A7 on May 11

Audi A7 SportsbackAudi India is planning to launch Audi A7 Sportsback car in India on 11 May 2011. Audi A7 will be available in petrol and diesel variants. Audi A7 will have features like 3.0 TFSI Quattro Petrol, 2995cc engine which produces 300 PS of power at 5250-6500 RPM and 440 Nm of torque at 2900-4500 RPM. The Audi A7 price is expected to be around 65 to 70 lakhs in India.

Audi India already launched Audi A4, Audi A8, Audi Q5 and Audi Q7 cars in India. Price Range for this cars is approx Rs. 25 lakh to Rs. 1.5 crore. Audi A7 will be awaited car for luxury car buyers.

Audi, the German luxury car manufacturer, today presented Indian cricketer, Yuvraj Singh, with an Audi Q5 for his splendid performance in the recently concluded ICC World Cup 2011. Michael Perschke, Head, Audi India along with Indian cricket legend, Ravi Shastri presented the ace cricketer with the keys to his brand new Audi Q5, the sportiest and most elegant SUV in its class.

Yuvraj Singh to Get Audi Car as a Gift from Audi India

Audi India announced that they will gift a brand new Audi Car to Indian Cricketer Yuvraj Singh. As Yuvraj did his best in the World Cup 2011 with 15 wickets and 350+ runs he became man of the tournament as well. Audi 100 was gifted to Ravi Shastri for being Champion of the Champions in 1985 and Now its Yuvraj who will get the Audi Car.

Audi India stated,"Audi India decided to keep the tradition alive and rekindle the fire of victory. The memory of the 1985 victory lap in the Audi 100 continues to live on in the minds of Indian cricket fans even today." Audi India boss, Anil Reddi and Ravi Shastri will personally gift Yuvraj his new car on a pre-announced later date.

Audi will soon announce the date of the gift which will be given to Yuvraj Singh for his best performance in 2011 ICC Cricket World Cup Tournament.

Audi Q1 FY11 Sales Up 107% YoY

Audi, the German luxury car manufacturer, recorded a strong first quarter with 1611 cars delivered in India between January to March 2011. Powering ahead with its aggressive outlook for 2011, the brand with four rings continued its positive growth trajectory with a growth of 107% for this quarter (Jan-March 2010: 778 cars).

Sales for the first quarter exceeded 50 per cent of the total number of cars sold last year (Jan – Dec 2010: 3003 cars). Sales figures for the month of March 2011 alone stood at 681 cars – an impressive growth of 210 per cent (220 cars in March 2010).

“Having already exceeded half of last year’s sales in a single quarter, we are confident of being well on our way to ensure that 2011 is the most successful year for Audi India. This year, we have embarked upon an aggressive product expansion strategy with a series of class-defining models like the Audi A8 L, the super sports cars, Audi R8 V10 and Audi R8 Spyder and we are confident that 2011 will continue to witness outstanding growth for Audi India. We successfully defended our leadership position in the SUV segment with the Q7 and Q5 and have made a remarkable footprint with the new A8. Even in the super sports car segment, the new additions to the R8 family have received a tremendous response,” said Michael Perschke, Head - Audi India.

New Audi R8 5.2 FSI with V10 Engine Launched in India

Mumbai/Jaipur: Audi, the German luxury car manufacturer, today announced the opening of its new showroom in Jaipur. The Audi Jaipur showroom was inaugurated by Michael Perschke, Head, Audi India, Dayanidhi Kasliwal, Director, Audi Jaipur and Aditya Kasliwal, Managing Director, Audi Jaipur (Kamal Auto tech)

Spread over total area of 7800 sq. ft. the facility is based on the unique Audi Terminal concept with the honeycomb aluminium façade on the exterior. With a display area that can accommodate 8 Audi cars, the showroom will display the entire model range of Audi cars available in India. The showroom will also house an Audi Shop and the Audi Exclusive Elements, where customers can order customised products and purchase a variety of Audi branded merchandise.

The service facility, located at the same site, is spread over an area of 7500 sq ft as per Audi standards and a total of 6 bays have a capacity to service 10-12 cars per day. The technicians, trained by Audi, ensure the proper use of approved repair equipment, tools and technologies to meet Audi standards.

Audi India is focused to expand its network in India. This year the company opened new showrooms in Mumbai, Kolkata and Bengaluru while Delhi, Chennai and Ludhiana are on the horizon.

In addition, Audi Mumbai West service facility located at CST Road, Kalina, Santacruz (East), Mumbai, has been operating since March 2010. Spread over an area of more than 40,000 sq ft, the service facility has a capacity toservice 22 cars per day and an additional capacity of 6 bays for accidental care. The technicians at the facility are trained toensure that services provided tocustomers meet Audi globally established standards of quality. This world-class service facility as well as the newly opened showroom, reinforces Audi India's commitment toAudi owners in the city.

Audi India Sales Up 46% August 2010

Audi, the German luxury car manufacturer, continued its remarkable performance in India. The company sold 1876 cars from January - August 2010 and has surpassed its last year's annual sales of 1658 cars sold. The company has recorded a growth of 66 % over the same period in 2009 (1128 units, Jan - Aug 2009). Audi India recorded sales of 250 cars in August 2010, a 46 % growth over August 2009 sales (171 units).

"Having successfully surpassed last year's annual sales performance, we are confident that this consistent growth which Audi India has been witnessing through 2010 will help us achieve our goals for the year. Our exceptional sales performance is attributed to the growing number of customers who truly appreciate Audi's endeavor to offer world-class products that reflect luxury par excellence. In line with our philosophy of ‘Vorsprung durch Technik', Audi is committed to set new benchmarks in the auto industry by enhancing the entire experience of owning a luxury automobile in India," said Michael Perschke, Head - Audi India.

Audi India is focused on strengthening its national footprint and recently announced the opening of dealerships in Kolkata and Bangalore. The company is also looking to open new showrooms in Delhi, Mumbai (West), Jaipur, Chennai and Ludhiana soon.
