The Indian unit of Japanese auto giant Honda is gearing-up to launch the new 2011 Honda Accord in the Indian market, next month. The new generation Honda Accord carries a minor face-lift, offering it a bold and aggressive look. The company is already selling this car in the US market.
The new Accord comes blessed with a number of cosmetic changes and offers an enhanced exterior and interior. The upgrades at the exterior include a new front grille, newly-styled rear deck lid and re-styled wheels. While in the Interior, the car comes blessed with a redesigned instrument panel and the buttons of climate control have been shifted nearer to driver.
Moreover, it will be carrying a better fuel economy as compared to the same of its predecessor. The car will be launched with the same engine options in the country including 2.4L, 4-cylinder and a 3.5L V6 engine, delivering a peak power of 177 bhp and 271 bhp, respectively. Same as the existing model, the new Accord is expected to be rolled-out in both manual and automatic transmission versions in the Indian market.
At present, the Honda Accord model is available in the price range of Rs 19,15,500 - Rs 27,68,831 (ex-showroom Mumbai).
