New Honda Accord Upgraded Version Launched in India; Price Start from Rs. 19.60 Lakh

Honda Siel Cars India reportedly launched an upgraded version of its Honda Accord luxury sedan, priced between Rs. 19.60 lakh and Rs. 25.41 lakh. Honda Siel Cars India (HSCI) President and CEO Takashi Nagai said that, "Our belief in constantly upgrading our products based on customer feedback prompted this launch of an upgraded version of the 'Accord' with unique styling in combination with luxurious features. The 'Accord' has registered sales of over 25,000 units since its launch in India".

The new 'Accord' will be available in two options, a 2.4-litre version costing Rs. 19.60 - 20.36 lakh and a 3.5-litre variant with a Rs. 25.41 lakh price tag. The new Accord has more style, more comfort and more sophistication than ever before. A bold and aggressive look and striking interiors will make it the most commanding premium sedan on Indian roads.

New Face-Lifted Honda Accord in India Soon

The Indian unit of Japanese auto giant Honda is gearing-up to launch the new 2011 Honda Accord in the Indian market, next month. The new generation Honda Accord carries a minor face-lift, offering it a bold and aggressive look. The company is already selling this car in the US market.

The new Accord comes blessed with a number of cosmetic changes and offers an enhanced exterior and interior. The upgrades at the exterior include a new front grille, newly-styled rear deck lid and re-styled wheels. While in the Interior, the car comes blessed with a redesigned instrument panel and the buttons of climate control have been shifted nearer to driver.

Moreover, it will be carrying a better fuel economy as compared to the same of its predecessor. The car will be launched with the same engine options in the country including 2.4L, 4-cylinder and a 3.5L V6 engine, delivering a peak power of 177 bhp and 271 bhp, respectively. Same as the existing model, the new Accord is expected to be rolled-out in both manual and automatic transmission versions in the Indian market.

At present, the Honda Accord model is available in the price range of Rs 19,15,500 - Rs 27,68,831 (ex-showroom Mumbai).
